Harriet joined the Centre as an honorary senior lecturer in January 2003. She is a free lance academic with a particular interest in gerontology, qualitative methods and the relationship between spiritual matters and well being particularly in the Health Service. Her current research is "The role of the hospital chaplain in meeting spiritual needs of patients" and is an ethnography. She runs introductory courses on qualitative methods for health and social care professionals.
