Biography
Gerry joined the Centre for Rural Health in May 2002. Prior to this she had been working as a research nurse with the Highland Hospice. Qualified as a nurse in Hereford in 1983 and trained as a District Nurse, Gerry worked as a Community Macmillan Nurse in Bristol before moving to Inverness in 1995. Since working at CRH she has completed a Master's degree in Public Health.
Gerry has an interest in rural healthcare and technology and is currently involved in a study looking at the role of boundaries in the implementation of ehealth systems. This study is a collaboration with the University of Glasgow and is funded by the Chief Scientist Office.
