Trained and qualified as medical doctor at University Ulm, Germany, Cornelia went into General Practice with a great interest in natural medicine - which is a recognised sub-speciality in Germany. Life's meandering path brought her to the North of Scotland to the Findhorn Community. For over 10 years she explored alternative models of culture as well as healthcare approaches. She organised several international conferences on the theme of "Medical Marriage - the new partnership between orthodox and complementary medicine" and in 1997 published a book with the same title (with Lori Forsyth, published by Findhorn Press). She lectured on the same theme both in the UK and abroad. She undertook some small scale research projects around innovative healthcare projects. In September 1999 she undertook an Extended Course in Research Methodology organised by the Tayside Centre for General Practice and developed her present project: The prevalence of concurrent use of complementary/alternative medicine (CAM) and primary care services. In April 2001 she was granted a 2 year research fellowship by Grampian Primary Care Trust. Cornelia now works as GP Retainer in Lossiemouth.
