In overall terms the Centre sees its graduates as bringing an understanding of the multi faceted constituents of place creation (economic, cultural, political, natural resource based) to the task of helping to mediate the future production and management of quality living environments which are inclusive, more sustainable and economically viable and which pay attention to the need for respecting, enhancing, and developing local place identity. In short the interdisciplinary study of place is central to the approach.
