Responsibilities

Student	Involved in completion of Initial Personal Development Plan Form. Involved in completion of routine monitoring and thesis completion forms. Production of materials for first and second year progress assessments. Attend for interviews, viva-voce assessments or research presentations (as required by School/Discipline). Keep records of formal meetings (these should happen monthly). Keeping PDP up-to-date.
Supervisors	Completion of Initial Personal Development Plan Form with student. Completion of routine monitoring and thesis completion forms with input from student. Keep records of formal meetings and first and second year progress assessments. Attend progress meetings with Head of School and student (if required).
School/Discipline Research Student Coordinator	Coordinate research student activities within the School/Discipline, including local induction arrangements. Coordinate first and second year assessment arrangements within the School/Discipline. Sign-off on routine monitoring and thesis completion forms to confirm completion of School/Discipline based assessments. Sign-off on first and second year assessment forms to confirm outcome of School/Discipline based assessments.
Academic Assessor	Conduct assessment of first and second year progress of student. Complete relevant sections of first and second year progress assessment forms. Attend meetings with supervisors and Head of School to discuss unsatisfactory progress (if required).
College Postgraduate Officer	Scrutinise and sign off forms. Giving advice and feedback to Graduate School regarding unsatisfactory students.
Head of School	Sign-off on all first and second year progress assessments. Convene meetings to discuss unsatisfactory student progress. Final decision on action over unsatisfactory students.
Graduate School	Recommend number of formal meetings between supervisors and student. Circulate Initial Personal Development Plan Form to supervisors. Circulate routine monitoring and thesis completion forms to supervisors. Track return and outcome of all progress assessments (routine monitoring, first year, second year and thesis completion). Input information on satisfactory/unsatisfactory students into record system. Monitor generic skills training activity of students.
