Teaching Programme for Postgraduates and Early Career Researchers

[back]

The Centre for Learning Teaching offers a dedicated Teaching Programme for Postgraduate Research Students and Early Career Researchers, which runs in both the first and second half sessions of the current academic year.  The Programme is designed specifically for those who are new to teaching, and who may have little or no previous experience.  The Programme is externally accredited by the Higher Education Academy.

The Teaching Programme for Postgraduates and ECRs runs over four half days (blocks), spread over six weeks to allow participants to complete two formative assessments, peer observations and readings. There is also a single summative assessment which is tied to the programme's accreditation. Successful participants will also receive an exemption from one of the pieces of assessment on the University's Postgraduate Certificate in Higher Education Learning & Teaching programme, along with Associate Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy.
