The School of Medical Sciences has wide ranging research interests and therefore offers undergraduate and postgraduate training across many basic and applied biomedical disciplines. Principal investigators lead cutting edge molecular and cell biology research in a variety of fields and many work closely with their clinical colleagues.

The School of Medicine and Dentistry offers degrees in Medicine, Health Sciences, Physician Assistant and Dentistry, with a wide range of postgraduate taught courses and research opportunities across the spectrum of medicine and medical science.

The School of Psychology provides an exciting and vibrant research-led learning environment for both undergraduate and postgraduate studies. The School offers single honours degrees in Psychology (BSc & MA) along with a range of joint honours degrees. The research activity of the School is grouped around three themes: Cognition, Perception and Attention and Social Cognition.

Scientists at the Rowett Institute of Nutrition and Health conduct both basic and policy driven research on the impact of nutrition on cells, tissues and whole body health. Among the many strengths of the Rowett are its well developed bioinformatics research and the core facilities for metabolite, DNA and protein analysis.
