Dr Davies graduated from the University of Bristol before completing his PhD at the National Institute for Medical Research. He is a Senior Lecturer in physiology and was appointed Director of Teaching and Learning in 2011.
The Director of Learning and Teaching oversees the accomplishment of the College’s strategic aims and ambitions with regard to learning and teaching at undergraduate level, including, but not limited to, academic mentoring, articulation, recruitment and retention, student experience, teaching quality and best practice, and widening participation. Dr Davies sees his mission as being to make it easier to do good teaching within the College.
Professor Gow graduated from the University of Edinburgh and the University of Aberdeen. He was awarded a chair at the University of Aberdeen in 1995 and was appointed Director of Research in 2011.
The Director of Research is the academic lead for the research ambitions of the College, in areas including, but not limited to, the external research funding portfolio, knowledge exchange and commercialisation, principal investigator training and development, research ethics, research impact, and the Research Excellence Framework (REF).

Dr Connolly is a graduate of Trinity College Dublin and the National University of Maynooth, and was appointed Director of the Graduate School in 2007.
The Director of the Graduate School is responsible for the strategic direction and development of postgraduate affairs in the College, including but not limited to issues regarding doctoral completion and submission rates, monitoring and progression of research students, postgraduate funding strategy, research skills and training, student experience, and student recruitment.
