Introduction

AppleThe MSc in Human Nutrition and Metabolism was established in 1986 through collaboration between the University of Aberdeen and the Rowett Institute of Nutrition and Health, one of the world's leading nutrition research centres. The MSc in Human Nutrition and Metabolism is a research orientated degree which aims to provide training in human nutrition for graduates in Biological Sciences to equip them for future careers in academic or private institutions, clinical nutrition and public health.

The incidence of diet related diseases is increasing dramatically worldwide. At the same time, much of the world's population suffers malnutrition and related diseases. There is clearly a need for new research to address these problems. The primary aim of this research orientated MSc is to provide training in human nutrition for graduates in the Biological Sciences that will equip them for future careers in nutrition in private and academic institutions, clinical nutrition and public health.

Each year we welcome students with many different backgrounds from the European Community as well as from overseas.
