Registration

If you haven't already done so, please return your Certificate of Acceptance/Financial Guarantee form to Postgraduate Admissions as soon as possible.  If your offer is conditional on successful completion of your first degree or English language test, please confirm that you have achieved this as soon as you receive your results and send a copy of your degree certificate/English language certificate to Postgraduate Admissions as soon as possible.

You will have received information on e-registration with your offer letter.  Please ensure that you follow the instructions before your programme commences as this will speed up your registration.  Click here to complete e-registration.

You will need to contact the relevant Graduate School Administrator or Senior Postgraduate Secretary upon arrival to finalise your registration.  The contacts are:

International students with Tier 4 student visas will also need to report to the Infohub at Old Aberdeen to undertake a visa check.  You should bring along a photocopy of your passport and visa stamp and/or biometrics card (along with the original passport).  Students will also be able to collect their Student ID card at the Infohub.

Induction Programme

The induction programme for postgraduate research students (excluding MRes) in the Schools of Biological Sciences, Medical Sciences, Medicine & Dentistry, Psychology and the Rowett Institute of Nutrition & Health will take place on Friday 15 February 2013 from 09.45 am in the Linklater Rooms, King's College, Old Aberdeen.  Please note that this session is COMPULSORY for all new starts. 

Laboratory Safety Training

The Laboratory Safety Training programme for all new lab-based postgraduate research students (excluding MRes) in the Schools of Biological Sciences, Medical Sciences, Medicine & Dentistry and the Rowett Institute of Nutrition & Health will take place at 3.00 pm on 5 March 2013 in the Level 7 Conference Room, Institute of Medical Sciences Building, Foresterhill.  Please note that this session is COMPULSORY for all lab-based students.

Small Group Teaching

The Small Group Teaching workshops for all new postgraduate research students (excluding MRes) will take place as follows:

School of Biological Sciences: Friday 15 March 2013 from 9.00 am - 12.00 pm, Room MR252, MacRobert Building, Old Aberdeen

School of Medical Sciences, Medicine & Dentistry and Rowett Institute of Nutrition & Health: Friday 8 March 2013 from 9.30 am - 12.30 pm, Level 7 Conference Room, Institute of Medical Sciences, Foresterhill
