Immediate Life Support

The ILS course aims to train healthcare personnel in cardiopulmonary resuscitation, simple airway management and safe defibrillation, enabling them to manage patients in cardiac arrest until arrival of a cardiac arrest team and how to participate as a members of the team.

 Course Preparation:  You must read the manual before attending.  These can be collected from the Clinical Skills Centre.

 ILS Recertification

If you have already completed the Immediate Life Support Course, you can undertake a half-day recertification.  You may only attend the recertification course within one year of the expiry date of your ILS Certificate.  Alternatively, if you have a valid ALS Provider certificate, you may attend a half day recertification
