Visiting Scholars

Dr Sandeep Sinha, Reader and Head of the Department of History, at Serampore College, University of Calcutta, spent March 2009 in Aberdeen, as Visiting Scholar of the Centre for Cultural History and Centre for the History of Science, Technology and Medicine. He gave three seminar papers, used our libraries and archives in connection with his research interests in colonial health policies, epidemic diseases, and medical missions in India, and discussed future collaboration with David Smith, Andrew MacKillop, and others.

Dr. Amos Morris-Reich, Director of the Bucerius for Research of Contemporary German History and Society at Haifa University, and faculty member of the Department of Jewish History at Haifa is visiitng the Centre in June 2009 to discuss research collabortation with Dr Tom Weber and to give a seminar opaper on 19 June.
