University of Aberdeen Celtic Society

The Aberdeen University Celtic Society (Comann Ceilteach Oilthigh Obar Dheathain) was founded in 1853 by and for Gaelic speakers as a way to celebrate the Gaelic language, music and culture. Today the society welcomes all students with an interest in Gaelic language and/or music. Over the years, many of our students have been active in the society and have held office-bearing positions.
