Research

Research is of vital importance to the College of Arts and Social Sciences.  In the most recent national research assesment, RAE2008, all 17 submissions from the College of Arts and Social Sciences had activity rated as world leading or internationally excellent.

The Director of Research, Professor Joachim Schaper, is the academic lead for the research ambitions of the College and oversees areas including, but not limited to:

• External research funding portfolio
• Knowledge exchange and commercialisation
• Principal Investigator training and development
• Research ethics
• Research impact
• Research Excellence Framework (REF)
