
Professor Ross is an Aberdeen graduate who qualified as a solicitor in 1981 and became a full-time academic member of staff in 1992. She was Head of the School of Law prior to becoming Vice-Principal and Head of College in September 2011.
The Head of College is appointed by the University Court and is the management and academic leader of the College. The Head of College chairs the College Executive Committee, which comprises other senior academic appointments such as the Heads of Schools and College Directors. The Head of College is the primary point of responsibility for the College’s delivery of both its own strategic objectives and of those of the University to which it contributes.
