Travel around Aberdeen
For those who need to travel within the city by bus, First Aberdeen's website has details of all routes and timetables. The buses you will find most useful for getting to the Old Aberdeen campus are:
1, 2, 13 and 40 (Park and Ride) – all stop on King Street. (Please note that the 13A will not get you to campus.)
14 – stops on St. Machar Drive. (This bus will also take you to the Foresterhill campus.)
19 – stops on Bedford Road (at the back of the University.)
20 – stops on the High Street.
Make sure you have exact change, and your student ID card in order to get the reduced rate. Details of fares are also available on the website. First Aberdeen offer student discounts on daily, weekly and monthly passes, and you can find out about these here. Travelcards can be purchased from the First Travel Centre at 47 Union Street or the First Reception at 395 King Street.
Travel within Aberdeenshire
Stagecoach Bluebird run buses out of Aberdeen into the surrounding area. You can find details of their routes and timetables at http://www.stagecoachbus.com/bluebird/. Please note that they are not affiliated with First Aberdeen, and you cannot use First travel passes on Stagecoach services.
