Master of Arts (MA)

• Available as a four-year Honours degree (MA Honours) or a three-year designated degree (MA Designated).
• MA Honours degrees are classified (first-class, upper-second, lower-second, or third-class) whereas MA Designated degrees are unclassified.
• Options for Advanced Entry are available in certain circumstances.
• Students are admitted to the MA degree programme rather than to a particular subject, so in most cases it is possible to change subject preference after having begun the programme.
• Students have the opportunity to take Enhanced Study options as part of their degree and to participate in co-curricular activities.
• MA degree offers a comprehensive academic education so that students gain the breadth of knowledge and understanding desired by the employers of today.
