Equality & Diversity

There are around 14,000 students at the University of Aberdeen, 10,000 undergraduates and 4,000 postgraduates. We have a large international community with 120 nationalities represented among the student population.  Mature students make up 19% of the undergraduates. The University offers over 550 first degree programmes and it has more than 170 ERASMUS links with institutions in more than 20 European countries as well as study abroad exchanges worldwide. All of this contributes to the diversity of the student experience at Aberdeen University.

The University has an Equality and Diversity Strategy which includes information on our accessible and inclusive learning and working environment.  Diversity and equality are also very important to employers who want their workforces to reflect the society in which they operate.

The following folders, containing general information about these topics, are available for reference in our Careers Library:

  • Diversity Issues and Information
  • Labour Market Information
  • There is also information for mature students and students with disabilities.
