HEA Grant awarded to the Careers Service

HEA recently awarded the Careers Service a grant to develop the Digital Employability Student Package to increase the employability of postgraduate students.

This will fully utilise a number social media platforms for career development, networking, marketing and will be ran in collaboration with social media practitioners.

AIMS:

Increase PGT employability, skill sets and career prospects

Develop a social media ‘package’ (practical and theoretical workshops,
published material, online tools) as a resource for PGT students, which can
be transferable to other Careers Services and to other end users

Ensure the Careers Service is keeping up with student demand for career
advice and method provision

Engage students in the development of this package via focus groups, and
pilot runs
