The University Structure
The University is organised across three colleges:
o College of Arts and Social Sciences (CASS)
o College of Life Sciences and Medicine (CLSM)
o College of Physical Sciences (COPS)

CAS Grading System
A Common Assessment Scale (CAS) to be used throughout the University was introduced in 1992. (For more details, click here). All items of University assessments are graded out of 20, as can be seen in the table below:

AGCAS Scotland (the Association of Graduate Careers Advisory Services) provides detailed information on employing non-UK nationals. For employers in Scotland, the Relocation Advisory Service, has prepared a Toolkit for employers which sets out the ways in which you can employ international candidates and are happy to answer any queries. In addition, the Business Gateway offers an online step-by-step guide to making all the necessary checks.
