Study Abroad

The University of Aberdeen offers students the opportunity to study abroad as an integral part of their Aberdeen degree programme and not an additional year. Credits gained are recognised by the University of Aberdeen and incorporated into your University of Aberdeen academic record.

ERASMUS

Book an appointment to discuss ERASMUS issues

The ERASMUS exchange programme offer you the opportunity to study or work in another European country for one semester or a full academic year as part of your degree programme. The University has over 250 ERASMUS links with almost 200 universities across Europe. Opportunities available depend on your degree programme and it is possible to study abroad with most subjects. A number of our partner universities teach through English. Others require visiting students to have a good command of their language. Additional funding is available to help with the costs of studying abroad with ERASMUS.  Find out more.

International Exchange Programme

Our exchange partners include some of the most distinguished state universities and private colleges in North America, Hong Kong and Japan. Students normally go on an exchange programme in their second year of study. Find out more.
