Research Interests:
Complex interventions - effective professional practice, in particular, implementation research to promote evidence-based practice with a specific focus on the supply of non-prescription medicines.
The use of theory to provide a theoretical underpinning to the development and evaluation of behaviour change strategies, including Health Psychology (Theory of Planned Behaviour), Industrial Psychology (Human Error Theory), as well as organisational and other theoretical approaches.
Pharmacy practice research – deriving evidence of the effectiveness and efficiency of services provided from community pharmacies and by community pharmacists.
Pharmaceutical Public Health – in particular, the role of community pharmacies and pharmacists in the provision of public health services.
Patient safety in relation to the supply and use of medicines – with a focus on iatrogenic disease associated with non-prescription medicines.
