Qualifications: BSc Mathematics and Statistics Ordinary
Appointments: I am a software engineer with the Primary Care Clinical Informatics Unit (PCCIU) based in the Centre. My main duty is to maintain the system we use to produce biannual SPICE (Scottish Programme for Improving Clinical Effectiveness) reports to General Practice. My other duties are to provide data from our collected Practice database to approved Researchers in the University and external to it. I also liaise with NHS Information Services Division (ISD) to modernise PCCIU data flows and processes.
Research Interests: Any research which requires a computing solution. Main expertise = SQL queries.
Outside Interests: Our two children take up most of my free time, committee member Bipolar Aberdeen. I enjoy walking and nature and recently birdwatching.
