Qualifications: B. Sc. (Hons) Psychology, M.Sc. Occupational Psychology, PhD Psychology, Doctorate in Clinical Psychology, Postgraduate Certificate in Professional Teaching (Leadership and Management)
Appointments: Senior Clinical Lecturer, Division of Medical and Dental Education, Lead for Medical Education Research, MBChB Co-ordinator - Clinical Communication, Academic Co-ordinator - Phase II Community Course, Clinical Psychologist (two sessions per week) - Liaison Psychiatry
Research Interests: Assessment in medical education, specifically prediciting performance and "failure to fail"
Optimising the use of feedback mechanisms in undergraduate medicine
Enhancing the quality and relevance of medical education research
Teaching Interests: Clinical communication, integrating communication and clinical skills teaching
Other Interests: Community medicine, staff development
Outside Interests: Road biking, hill walking, travel, good food and wine, cinema
