Appointments: Research fellow, University of Aberdeen

Research Interests: My research interests mainly lie in the area of community pharmacy minor ailments management. I am currently or recently been involved in synthesising and generating evidence within the following areas:

Economic and clinical effectiveness: Clinical and cost effectiveness of pharmacy based minor ailments management compared to other models of care
Professional triggers to service delivery: Aspects of decision making by community pharmacists, especially around factors associated with delivery of new services in and out with minor ailments management
Patient triggers to pharmacy services usage: Modelling key triggers to patients seeking care from community pharmacy against other models of care
Communication in pharmacy: Improving patient communication in community pharmacy
Theoretical models in research:  Application of diffusion of innovations model in new pharmacy services/medicines adoption by professionals and patients
Pharmacovigilance: Pharmacovigilance activities of non-medical prescribers (pharmacists and nurses) in Great Britain
I have interests in the application of qualitative, quantitative and mixed methods; as well as synthesising evidence through systematic review of literature
