What our students say.......
"The subject of Organisational Change brought the theory closer to industry, where the introduction of Guest Speakers from various organisations influenced my understanding of the subject!"
"I liked the way you can shape your Management Studies Degree, with the various topics on offer ranging from Economics to Marketing and even to developing your own business ideas!"
"Managing Creativity is more than just thinking outside of the box, it is about breaking the established boundaries of industry norms & pioneering 'real' achievement."
"Management Studies gave me an exciting opportunity to put theory into practice as a working mature student, which helped me to deliver 'real' business results!"
Leigh, 4th year, MA in Management
“The people (staff) made me feel welcome; they answered all my questions and gave me some answers to questions I had not asked!
I am a mature student who has worked as a manager, therefore I wanted to be able to select management studies that expanded my knowledge into new areas AND interested me! Only Aberdeen provided this choice and facilitated flexibility to choose and if required change the portfolio of courses. In fact I have in addition to my management courses studied Scottish Law, Computer Science and Accounting, quite a mix!
It’s subjective I know, but there is also an atmosphere here which is special, hundreds of years’ history blended with leading edge research, young minds with fresh ideas and learned academics from far and wide. It results in a blend that is rare, rich, vibrant and most stimulating and rewarding to be a part of. It’s not just the best whisky that you find in Scotland.”
Lee, 3rd year, MA in Management
“Having been to other places of higher education and having been in different majors I can honestly say that the University of Aberdeen Management Studies has been the best. The support, friendliness and expertise of the staff are amazing. The use of real examples to demonstrate and analyse theory has helped me appreciate and understand the subject more than I'd expected. The professors aren't just book knowledgeable; they have worked in business and use their experience to further my learning.”
Adrienne, 3rd year, MA in Management
“The MA in Management has offered me the chance to study a relevant modern topic in the picturesque surrounding of Aberdeen University. The subject is taught with a hands on approach incorporating current events and news into every lecture developing a greater insight to every topic. The business school staff are easily approachable with any problem or dilemma offering an endless amount of support.”
