Travel Information
Public transport maps and information may be found at the excellent
First
in Aberdeen website. In brief, buses that serve the main university
entrance on King Street may be caught on Union Street,
just five minutes walk from the railway station. The First in
Aberdeen Overground "Red Line" services 1 ("Danestone")
and 2/2A ("Ashwood") operate to a combined 5 minute frequency
during the daytime and a combined 15 minute frequency evenings and Sundays
-
on return to City, these buses show 1/1A ("Garthdee") or 2/2A
("Auchinyell"). Other services that pass the main university
entrance on King Street are 15 ("Dubford") which run only during
the daytime Monday-Saturday to a 30 minute frequency - on return to City,
these buses show 15 ("Kingswells" or "Woodend").
There are other services (starting from Broad Street) which serve other
parts of the campus - First in Aberdeen Metro Indigo Line 20 ("Hillhead")
travels along College Bounds and First in Aberdeen Metro Turquoise Line
19 ("Tillydrone") travels via Bedford Road, both every 15 minutes
during the daytime Monday-Saturday and every 30 minutes at other times.
The Business School is located on the second floor of the Edward Wright
Building and is accessed from Stairwell B off Dunbar Street. The Visitors
Reception is Room S36, just through the fire doors on the left upon entering
the School from Stairwell B. The Board Room (S51-2) lies directly ahead.
Toilets are to be found in Stairwells B and C. A lift is provided for
disabled visitors in Stairwell D, at the end of the North East wing of
the building. Light refreshments may be purchased from the vending machines
in starirwell C or alternatively in the Taylor Building foyer, diagonally
across the quad from the lower ground floor egress of Stairwell A (at
the end of the Southern wing of the building). The Staff Club's Refectory
also provides high quality meals and light refreshments (see Campus
Map for location) during the day.
