Overall, 90% of research activity in the Business School is of international quality (55% is world leading or internationally excellent: 4* and 3* in the 2008 RAE). Evidence of our world leading expertise and fast growth in intellectual terms is found in the Research Assessment Exercise results of 2008, a UK wide process which evaluates the quality of research. 100% of Economics research, 90% of Real Estate research and 80% of research in Business and Management (including Accountancy and Finance) were judged to be of international quality.
The School has a strong interdisciplinary and international orientation. We work closely with colleagues across the University, and enjoy joint posts with the Health Economics Research Unit (HERU) and Health Services Research Unit (HSRU), both located in the College for Life Sciences and Medicine. The Economics group plays a leading role in Scottish Institute for Research in Economics’ (SIRE) Work and Well-being Programme.
The Business School is engaged in a number of Partnerships. The Henley-Aberdeen Partnership is a unique network between academia and business in the north-east which will give those who participate the opportunity to continually update and embrace their current business strategies and be challenged by new research and innovative ways of viewing issues. We also deliver our MBA programme in partnership with TMC Academy in Singapore, and have “2+2” Honours Degree Programme partnerships with Wuhan University and South China Normal University.
