Collaborative Research

The University collaborates with a wide range of industry partners in addition to the public and third sectors in research projects across the full spectrum of our research expertise. A number of sources provide funding for collaborations between industry and universities.

Knowledge Transfer Partnerships

Knowledge Transfer Partnerships is a UK Government funded knowledge transfer mechanism designed to increase the competitiveness of the UK's industrial base. The University of Aberdeen is part of the North of Scotland KTP Centre which supports projects with partners across Grampian, the Highlands and Islands and the rest of the UK.


Innovation Vouchers

Innovation Vouchers provide funding to allow the University to assist SMEs to introduce innovation into their business, products and services.

The Research and Innovation team is the first point of contact for business, offering a range of consultancy, professional development, knowledge exchange and commercialisation opportunities arising from research activities.
