Hymn, Ihesu nate de virgine.

A hymn to Jesus Christ (RH, 1, p 577; see HL, 2, p 140), asking that through the love of his mother, the Virgin Mary, he may spare us from misery and, through her tears, lead us to heaven.

Ymnus.

Ihesu nate de virgine
sine virili semine
qui mor\tem crucis pateris
afflictus plagis asperis.\

Amore matris anxie
nostre parcas miserie
sui\que fletus copia
nos
ducat <ducas> ad celestia.

Sit\ laus honor devocio
Ihesu Marie filio,
tenso crucis\ patibulo
pro redimendo populo.

Antiphona. Qualem.

Psalmus [21, continued]. [16] Aruit tamquam testa virtus mea et lin\gua mea adhesit faucibus meis; et in\ pulverem mortis deduxisti me.\ [17] Quoniam circumdederunt me canes multi; con\silium malignancium obsedit me. Foderunt\ manus meas et pedes meos; [18] dinumeraverunt\ omnia ossa mea. Ipsi vero consideraverunt et\ inspexerunt me [19] diviserunt sibi vestimenta mea\ et super vestem meam miserunt sortem.
