The author asks God to grant that he may receive the body of Christ and holy unction at his death; to deliver him from the power of the fearful-visaged devil; and to place him forever in Abraham's bosom.

merear et quando animam meam a seculo migrare\ iusseris concede michi domine hoc sanctissimum corpus tu\um sub forma panis unctionemque sancti olei feliciter percipere, et libera me in hora mortis mee ab horri\bili vultu diaboli et a potestate eius et colloca\ me in synu Abrahe amici tui ubi tecum merear\ imperpetuum manere. Prayer, Domine Ihesu Christe qui patre.



A prayer to Jesus Christ, who redeemed the world. The author asks that he may receive communion, notwithstanding his unworthiness, through Christ's clemency.


Domine Ihesu Christe qui patre disponente spiritu sancto\ cooperante per mortem tuam spontanea\ voluntate misericorditer a peccato et mor\te eterna mundum redemisti adoro et veneror eo\ quod possum quamvis tepido affectu et humili devocio\ne gratias agens tanto beneficio hoc sanctum corpus\ tuum et hunc sanctum sanguinem tuum quem ad e\mundacionem et defensionem a peccatis accipere desidero.\ Confiteor domine quod nimis sum indignus ad eorum\ tactum accedere sed confidens de illa clemencia qua\ pro peccatoribus ut iusti fierent animam tuam ponens ea\ dedisti et piam hostiam patri mactari voluisti. Illa presumo ego peccator ut per illam iustificer accipere.\
