Devotions to the cross and passion of Jesus Christ, continued.

Prayer, Da michi queso, continued.

The author asks that he may be endowed with faith in his heart and the helmet of salvation on his head; with the word of truth in his mouth and the sign of the cross on his forehead; with love of God and his fellow-man in his breast and the girdle of chastity around him; with honesty in his deeds and gravity in his manner; with a longing for eternal life and the capacity to persevere in good works until his end.
