The author asks that the Holy Spirit may drive away the darkness of evil and kindle within him the light of God's mercy and the fire of his love.

Prayer, Domine deus eterne.



A prayer to God. The author acknowledges God to be three in one. He asks that he may do what is pleasing to God and enter his sight.


Domine deus eter\ne omnipotens et ineffabilis sine fine\ atque inicio quem unum in trinitate et\ trinum in unitate confiteantur, te solum adoro\ te laudo teque glorifico tue miseris et perfidie par\ticipem fieri tribuisti gracie tue perfice queso domine cep\tum in me opus misericordie tue. Et dona michi cogita\re loqui semper et agere que tibi placita sunt\ et gratuita me ubique tua pietate custodiens\ fac me indignum et miserum peccatorem ad tuam\ quoque visionem pervenire. Qui vivis.\
