Folio 30v

Prayers of and to St Bridget.

Prayer, Domine deus omnipotens benedictus, continued.

She acknowledges that she has wasted God's gifts - time for repentance has been given over to vanities, her body to excesses, the grace of baptism to acts of pride - and that she has loved everything but him, her creator and redeemer. In addition, she has failed to acknowledge his patience and goodness but has provoked him daily through her sins. For this reason, she begs God to have mercy upon her.

Prayer, Domine deus omnipotens. Tu.

A prayer of St Bridget to God, acknowledging that all she is, and has, comes from him. She asks him to deal with her according to his mercy not her sins.
