The world’s deepest living fishes have been filmed for the first time.  Staff from Oceanlab one of the School field stations have released this video, which shows groups of unique and unexpectedly active fishes (snailfish) interacting with shrimp-like creatures (amphipods) that scavenge the carcase of dead fish at 7.7km beneath the surface of the Japan Trench in the Pacific Ocean - one of the most extreme environments on Earth.
