The Great Outdoors
If you like the outdoors, then Aberdeen is a great city to study biological sciences, with easy access to the coast and some of the UK's most spectacular landscapes and habitats.
Whether you're interested in exploring nature reserves, hillwalking, birdwatching, mountain biking or simply walking along dramatic beaches, there are many fantastic spots to visit during the weekends or the long summer nights we enjoy in the north of Scotland.
Here we highlight some favourite sites that you can visit from Old Aberdeen on foot or by public transport. Field trips can give you access to some of the more remote parts of the Highlands, or you can get involved in organising your own trips through the student societies that give you access to Student Association minibuses.
