Research-led Teaching

The School has over 50 academic staff carrying out research across a wide range of topics within the general themes of ecology, integrative physiology and biological interactions in soil. Our research was rated highly as a Grade 5 in the last National Research Assessment.

Many of our staff are closely linked to government institutes, or directly involved in organisations that use this research for conservation, wildlife management, and other areas of applied biology.

Building on this experience, we aim to provide exciting course material that is directly based on current research and the application of research findings to a wide range of theoretical and applied questions.

Further details of the School's research activity can be found here.
