Essex based Lee Bennett has recently released the new track Unique Freak into the digital world of iTunes, Napster, 7 Digital, and Spotify.
This song gives everything a song should: catchy lyrics, a beat which you can bob your head to, and a melody that you’ll find yourself dancing enthusiastically to in the clubs. It can’t be denied that this single is an engaging dance song that will leave its listeners feeling invigorated.
There is an obvious theme in Unique Freak, which he delivers vocally, of his personal experiences and personality, in attempt to convey his life experiences so far. There is no question that there has been a lot of effort put into this song; his enthusiasm will no doubt captivate audiences. However, I do feel that the underlying electro riffs are reminiscent of Sugababes’ About A Girl, so is this really that unique?
There is also a concern about the metal prop attached to the side of his face at points in his music video… slightly Lady Gaga? Nevertheless, the video has been professionally produced while the performance cannot be faulted; the creative choreography truly expresses Lee’s natural talent.
