Scotland are really producing some outstanding bands of late, including the Dykeenies, Scottish indie rock band from Cumbernauld, formed in 2005.

Saturday’s performance at The Tunnels was a complete sell-out, and although the venue is relatively small, the atmosphere was great. Even the support bands were great, including ‘The Foxes’ whose lead man, Nigel Thomas, performed an acoustic set at Drummonds on Friday.

One of the best things about this gig was the mixture of old and new songs and the band interaction with the audience. A lot of banter was had!

The guys mix some electro/synth sounds into thier songs which are great when live, and just make the audience want to dance along.

Despite the great atmosphere and live performance, there was a vast amount of teens rather than 18+. Maybe a band to take your teenage sibling to?
