Schottland is aimed at Germans, both at home and abroad, with a love of Scotland.  Around a quarter of a million German tourists visit Scotland every year and Schottland will be available, in print and digitally, twice a year.  The first issue visits Orkney to look at the archaeology and other cultural attractions including the whisky!  This is not just a brief gloss over the archaeology, however: there is an in depth interview with Archaeology Lecturer Caroline Wickham-Jones which looks at her motivation for getting into archaeology, the elements which she finds most fascinating, and the reasons why she thinks archaeology is an indispensable tool for the future.
