ABERDEEN UNIVERSITY ANTHROPOLOGY SOCIETY

Our aim as a departmental Students Society is to provide a link between your academic experience and socialising within and outwith the University. Through our weekly off campus meetings, we hope to create and encourage stronger bonds and lasting ralationships between students of all disciplines and the School of Social Sciences to enhance your University life.

Meetings are weekly on Sunday evenings where we discuss various anthropological themes, with guest appearances, watch various anthropological films, drink beer, drink wine, drink whisky, drink cocktails, drink whisky, drink cocktails.......sorry got carried away there, but you get the picture!

Also, throughout the terms we have arranged seminar/Q&A sessions for any assistance that may be required regarding essays/coursework that may be playing on your mind.

We also have in the pipeline for the upcoming Easter break, a short trip south of the border, taking in our fine capital city's museums and those of the Museum of Anthropology and Archeaology, Cambridge and the Pitt Rivers Museum, Oxford.

'The society exists for the benefit of its members; not its members for the benefit of society' (Herbert Spencer).
