Alexander J Gunn BEng CEng MIMechE Alex is the current Society President and a past Secretary. He graduated from Heriot-Watt University in 2001 and obtained chartered engineer status in 2006. He is currently working as Engineering Advisor in the Well Operations Group for ConocoPhillips in Aberdeen. He has previously worked as both a Completions Engineer and Drilling Engineer on a wide variety of challenging North Sea wells. He is an active mentor with the IMechE MPDS scheme. In his spare time (when not changing nappies) he enjoys tinkering with his cars and bicycles. AMS Council
