Some Facts and Figures………..

The AMND has grown considerably since our last annual report in 2002. As of August 2007, we now have data on:

• Total no. of women – 160,984
• Pregnancies - 240,562
• Deliveries - 239,802
• Babies - 244,152
• Twins - 3,480

Here we present some time trends derived from data from the AMND.

Maternal age

As with previous years, maternal age at delivery continues to show an increase with time. Figure 1 shows the time trends in age at delivery for primigravid women between 1990 and 2009 while figure 2 shows the same trends for multipara.
