How to Organise a Reunion
Reunions allow you to meet up with old friends and reminisce about your days at the University. The Alumni Relations team is happy to help you organise your reunion event. Below are some suggested guidelines to help you get started:
What First?
Decide whom you would like to invite to the reunion. Perhaps it was those in your halls, fellow classmates or members of a society you were in? The Alumni Relations team can help to put you in touch with old friends you're no longer in contact with.
Style Of Reunion
The University welcomes back reunion groups every year. Some groups choose to get together for a reunion dinner, some enjoy tours of King's or Foresterhill, others make a whole weekend of it, full of activities!
Whatever format you and your friends choose, make sure you allow plenty of time to make the arrangements and to notify those who may live far away.
The Alumni Relations team can advise on University accommodation, venues and campus tours.
During The Reunion
Remember to bring along any old yearbooks, photos or stories from your student days - you might even want to produce a souvenir handbook for guests to take home. A camera is a must for any reunion!
The Alumni Relations team can promote your reunion on the alumni website and also display photos of the event for you to enjoy afterwards.
Reunion Giving
The University's reunion giving programme allows you to give back to the place that brought you all together.
It is possible to commemorate your milestone by dedicating a gift in the name of the year group.
Gifts raised from your classmates can go towards any of our current funds. Whichever fund your reunion chooses to donate to you will be helping the University of Aberdeen achieve its ambitions as a great pioneering institution committed to shaping the future of the world in the 21st century. Campus Discounts
We can offer a 15% discount on standard external function catering prices, namely catering which is ordered as part of a conference or event within the conference venue footprint. Delivered catering is not included.
A 15% discount can be offered on standard external prices for any group accommodation booked within King's Hall or student summer accommodation. A group booking is 15 people or more. Bookings of less than 15 are not covered by this offer.
You can benefit from a 50% discount on standard external room hire prices across venues within the conference footprint. The following venues are included:
