The EMAGA Spring Lunch

The President of the East Midlands Aberdeen Graduates Association, Alison Gallie, would like to invite you and partner/friend for a lunch at the Curator's House Restaurant, Sheffield Botanical Gardens for lunch on Saturday 6th April, 11.30am for 12.00pm. This will give you a great opportunity to meet old and new members, and to hear about the EMAGA's 2013 programme of events.

Supreme Courts of Scotland Tour and Reception

As an alumnus of the University of Aberdeen we are delighted to invite you to join Lady Dorrian, Lord Woolman and Lord Bracadale for an exciting behind the scenes tour of the Supreme Courts of Scotland. The tour of the courts and historic building will be followed by a drinks and canapé reception in the Advocates Library giving you an opportunity to meet fellow graduates.

Alumni Reception - Princeton, New Jersey

Alumni are invited to join Professor Sir Ian Diamond and Professor Paul Mealor at a reception for Aberdeen alumni and friends in Princeton Meadow Church and Event Center, 545 Meadow Road, Princeton, NJ 08540 from 6.00pm.
The reception will be followed by a concert by the Westminster Williamson Voices, conducted by Professor Jordan. This will feature the American premiere of Paul Mealor's choral masterwork Crucifixus.
This is a rare and exciting opportunity to meet Professor Mealor. This rising star, a lecturer at the University of Aberdeen, was catapulted to international fame when his composition, Ubi caritas was performed at the Royal Wedding ceremony of His Royal Highness Prince William and Catherine Middleton, now TRH The Duke & Duchess of Cambridge, at Westminster Abbey in 2011. Since then his success has continued including a Christmas number 1 in both the UK popular and classical charts.
The gathering is also a great opportunity to meet fellow graduates, share your experiences and learn about developments at the University of Aberdeen.

In partnership with the Scottish Institute for Enterprise (SIE) and Anderson Strathern, we are delighted to invite you to join us at an event that aims to provide information to and offer a networking opportunity for those University of Aberdeen Alumni looking to set up their own business.
You will also have the opportunity to hear from current student, Blair Bowman, who has taken the world by storm with 'World Whisky Day'. He will bring along some whisky for a small tasting session!
The first part of the evening will be an information session from SIE and some group activities related to enterprising and entrepreneurial thinking. Delegates will then hear from Blair. Drinks and canapés will follow with an opportunity for alumni and guests to network.

We are delighted to invite you to come and hear TV presenter and biologist Simon Watt talk exclusively to University of Aberdeen Alumni about some of his fascinating experiences while filming Channel 4's Inside Natures Giants.
This free event, which is part of the Statutory Meeting of the General Council will also include a report from the Convenor of the Business Committee and General Council notices. The event will be followed by a drinks and canapé reception in the James MacKay Hall. As a graduate of the University you are automatically a member of the University's General Council.

Alumnus Association - Ogston Music Prize trip

The Alumnus Association's next event will be the annual visit to the Final of the Ogston Music Prize on Friday 10th May at 7.30pm at the Cowdry Hall. This is one of the most anticipated nights in the University's musical year as talented performers compete for the title.
There will be an optional pre-concert supper of two courses with tea/coffee in the 1906 Restaurant at His Majesty's Theatre at 5.30. The charges are £5 for the concert only, and £27 for the concert and supper.
