Sheffield

Centre:
The European Office of the School of Health and Related Research of Sheffield University (headed by Professor Ian Philp), has been actively involved in European-wide research projects over the last five years, and all of the non-UK partners in the present project have been involved with co-operative research with Sheffield. The organisational experience gained by Sheffield in gaining a European-wide consensus, particularly in the EASYcare project which was part of SCOPE, has greatly influenced the design of ACMEplus. Sheffield has built up extensive links with health-based organisations and individuals throughout Europe, and has agreed to use these contacts to facilitate the dissemination activities of the ACMEplus project. For further information on this centre, please click on University of Sheffield.

Participants:
Prof Ian Philp
Dr Peter Lawson, Consultant Physician
Dr Ahmed Abdel-Hafiz, specialist registrar in geriatric medicine.
