Birmingham

Centre:
South Birmingham Geriatric Service is made up of components supplied by the University Hospital Birmingham NHS Trust at the Queen Elizabeth and Selly Oak Hospitals, and South Birmingham Primary Care NHS Trust at Moseley Hall and West Heath Hospitals. It admits nearly 5,000 patients, predominantly over the age of 75, per year of whom approximately 3,000 are admitted as emergencies and just under 1,000 via hospital transfer for rehabilitation. Rehabilitation resources include special wards for stroke, amputation and orthopaedic rehabilitation. For further information on this centre, please contact Selly Oak Hospital, Birmingham.
