Support & Advice
University Life
Making the adjustment to University can be a real challenge. Students are expected to take more responsibility for their own learning and have to adapt to the fast pace of study at University.
The New Students website has more advice on some of the more common twists and turns that new students have to overcome in the first few weeks of University with hints and useful resources to help you with some of the academic and social challenges that you might face during your first few weeks of the semester.
Student Support Services are there for you - to help you with information and/or advice. If you have a query or a difficulty - ask somebody, before the difficulty becomes a problem [and, even if it does become a problem, it really is never too late to ask].
Student Support Services has 3 areas specialising in non-academic support for students:
- the University Chaplaincy
- the University Counselling Service
- the Student Advice & Support Office
The team are located in The Hub, Elphinstone Road, Aberdeen.
