Choosing Accommodation

Starting university and becoming involved in academic life is an exciting experience.

It is a real opportunity to meet new people, make great friends and, for some of you, have your first taste of living independently. Whilst these are exciting times, we do understand that you might feel a little apprehensive about leaving what you know and finding a new place to live.

In order to make this process as smooth and enjoyable as possible, our Student Accommodation Office has a team of experienced staff who are here to help you with all the formalities involved.

This website will take you through the various accommodation options, with detailed information in each section.

It will outline the choices you have, from catered accommodation, where meals are provided, to self-catering flats.

University of Aberdeen accommodation is split between the Old Aberdeen campus and the Hillhead site- which is a short bus ride away on the Number 20 bus.

Maps will give you a visual impression of where all our accommodation is in relation to the main University campus, the city centre, the beach and other amenities.

Whatever your decision, friendly and helpful staff are available at all of our accommodation throughout the year to assist you with any questions or concerns you may have.
