Professor Mike Greaves is Head of the University’s largest College. Life Sciences and Medicine is structured into five academic schools: Biological Sciences, Medical Sciences, Medicine and Dentistry, Rowett Institute of Nutrition and Health, and Psychology.

Mike Greaves is Professor of Haematology and Honorary Consultant Haematologist at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary, having undertaken medical undergraduate training in Sheffield and postgraduate training in Sheffield, Melbourne and Sydney. He was formerly President of the British Society for Haematology. He is a Member of Council of the International Society for Thrombosis and Haemostasis and co-editor-in-chief of the society journal- the Journal of Thrombosis and Haemostasis.
